School Absences

The school day starts at 8.30am, with registration taking place between 8.30 and 8.40am. If you chail arrives after this time, they will receive a late mark. If your child is absent, please ring the school office before 9am to say why they won’t be in. If they are absent for multiple days, please continue to ring the school every morning that they are off, unless otherwise agreed.

Holiday Requests

Requests for a leave of absence during term time will not be authorised unless there are exceptional circumstances. If a leave of absence is granted. The Headteacher will determine the number of school days a child can be away from school. 

Truancy Penalty Notices (TPNs)

Truancy Penalty Notices will be issued for term time leav of 5 or more consective days or where 10 sessions of unauthorised absence take place in a 10 week period.
