Absences & Holiday Requests
From September 2013 Headteachers may no longer grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Headteachers should determine the number of school days a child can be away from school if leave is granted.
Amendments to the 2007 regulations will reduce the timescales for paying a penalty. Parents will have the opportunity to pay the reduced payment of £60 within 21 days or £120 within 28 days.

If your child is absent, please ring the school office before 9am to say why they won’t be in. If they are absent for multiple days, please continue to ring the school every morning that they are off, unless otherwise agreed.
Please follow up this absence with either an email, a letter upon return, or fill out an absence slip to hand into the office.
